Lyrics
Let Me Talk To You
Lend me your ears let me talk to you; I hope I’m clear when I talk to you; it’s been some years since I talked to you; admit my fears when I talk to you.
Let me share my heart, time to open up; I’m where the valley where they save the eagles, smoke the ducks; from southern Cali where the murder rate is heating up, been beaten up; stabbed in stomach, belly leaking up.
I knew his name it was such and such, no retaliation was focused on graduation not mucking up.
Remember laying in that hospital bed, licking pop sickles evil thoughts running through my head; this was high school in fact my junior year, Hospital bill and a scar for a souvenir.
I shed some tears, but was never ever out of fear; I was disappointed in me, for grinding out of gear. Clear?
I guess I’ve always seen the bigger picture; my granny introduced me to reading scriptures. Always knew my purpose I was never drifter; I owe all of my knowledge to older sister.
Graduated college where they have them twisters, played the plains of Kansas till I got some blisters; I’m known for balling up my competition, and ever since my birth, my pops was missing.
Imagine life without your daddy’s vision. What’s worse dying young or prison; I had to focus make a quick decision; my problems hit me hard like a car collision. My momma struggled with a drug addiction; my reality just kept conflicting; the snake of life just kept constricting. Take my advice life is worth the fixing.
Flow presidential like I’m Richard Nixon, I’ve been a bad boy I should join the Pistons.
Win or lose, I just had to prove; that I had what it takes just to make it through.
